Coolant replacement with cooling system flushing

The cooling system in modern VAG engines operates under demanding conditions: turbocharger, plastic thermostat modules, water pumps, narrow channels and different generations of coolant G11/G12/G13. That is why, during replacement, it is important not just to drain the old fluid, but to flush the system according to procedure and fill it with the correct formula. Appointments: +373 22 93-11-88.

What we do

We drain the old fluid, flush the cooling system, check for visible leaks, inspect the expansion tank, hoses and heater operation. Then we fill the correct coolant by VIN and bleed air from the system.

Why flushing matters

G12/G13 (pink/purple) must not be mixed with G11 (blue/green): the reaction creates sediment that clogs channels. Flushing removes residues before filling with new coolant.

Frequently asked questions

Can different coolants be mixed?
In service practice, no. It is safer to choose the fluid by VIN and flush the system when switching to another type.
How often should it be changed?
G12/G13 — every 4 years or 60,000 km. G11 — every 2 years. The exact interval is stated in the service book.
