EA111 1.2 / 1.4 TSI
Weak point is the Bosch HPFP. We fit the proven Hitachi alternative. Also monitoring timing chain and tensioner.
EA211 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.4 TSI
Timing chain stretch and tensioner wear when oil change intervals are not observed. Replacement with special tools.
EA888 1.8 / 2.0 TSI
High oil consumption (oil scraper rings, oil separator), timing chain stretch gen.1–gen.3. Diagnostics before disassembly.
EA288 2.0 TDI
Glow plugs — we fit only BERU (original Bosch are unreliable on this engine). CP4 HPFP condition check.
DSG DQ200
Jerks during gear changes — usually adaptation or dry clutch wear. Mechatronic diagnosed before gearbox removal.
DSG DQ250
Oil change every 40,000–60,000 km. Wet clutch pack wear — identified by VCDS adaptations.
How we choose parts for Volkswagen
We use parts from VW's OE suppliers: suspension — Lemförder, Febi; brakes — TRW, ATE, Textar; bulbs — OSRAM, Philips. We deliberately avoid problematic original parts where an alternative is statistically more reliable: EA288 glow plugs — BERU only, EA111 HPFP — Hitachi only.
